Motorcycling South Australia (MSA) along with the SAORC Committee is pleased to announce the release of the Official Supplementary Regulations ahead of the exciting 2018 South Australian off Road Championship (SAORC) as presented by Total Earthworx for the seniors and KTM for the juniors.
Once again the 2018 is just around the corner and with the success of the 2017 season the SAORC is set for another huge year.
Once again the series will be running the same classes across X Country, Enduro and Sprint formats at some of the state’s most challenging & diverse landscape, in 2018 the SAORC will also see for the first time the inclusion of support class at certain rounds. At Round 1 and 3 a Pony Express (All Powers) class will be offered. This class will not be for state championship points but will be a great way to get out and have fun riding the same tracks as the state riders are. The class will be made up of a team of 2, with riders allowed to ride any capacity bike, the winners will be determine by the team with the most laps and the shortest time, the team riders will do alternate laps until the completion of the race. So if you are keen for teaming up with your mate in a more relaxed environment, get on board and get your bikes out!
2017 Pro Champion Riley Graham will be on the move on his newly formed TRG Yamaha Racing team for season 2018, Riley comes off a fantastic season at both state and national competition finishing 5th outright and 2nd in the highly competitive E2 class at the Australian Off Road Championship. Riley will be heading off to Cessnock at the start of April for his first big hit out at the Australian 4 Day Enduro headlining the South Australian Trophy Team.
Once again this season entries will be done though Ridernet, so make sure you jump on your smart phone/ tablets and download the new Motorcycling Australia App (Ridernet) where you can log on to your profile and entry each round this season.
The series would not be possible without the ongoing support of our loyal sponsors as well as the brand new sponsors coming on board in 2018. A massive thanks must also go out to our hard working clubs that host these events, who spend countless amount of hours, planning, marking out and hosting these amazing events year in year out.
