Minikhana Rules

Minikhana - A Great Introduction to Motorcycling for boys and girls from age 4 and up. It is a non-intimidating competition, family friendly and held under a fun and controlled environment. It is a great event to help rebuild the 'grass roots' of clubs and can be modified for effective coaching purposes. This is also a great stepping stone or aid for further development of riding skills that can be translated into all types of competition, instilling confidence in both riders and family members.

The competition consists of approximately 9 events and is limited in capacity up to 100cc 2 stroke or 150cc four stroke. As this competition gets more and more popular you will become familiar with the following event names - Orange, Bending, Looping, Slow, Ring Return, Ring Bending, Footing and Non-Footing Clover, Accelerate and Brake and Minicross/Mini Moto Trial/Mini Enduro.

The event areas are the same size for all bikes and consist of a maximum of four lanes that have a number of cones in a set pattern that need to be negotiated. Different Skills are requred to navigate around these obstacles and the rider learns throttle and clutch control, braking techniques, body position and balance.
