
2026 South Australian Road Race State Championship Launched with New Branding and Revitalised Structure
Motorcycling South Australia (MSA), Mount Gambier Motorcycle Club and Shell V-Power Motorsport Park are proud to announce the launch of the 2026 South Australian Road Race State Championship, unveiling new branding and a revitalised championship structure designed to strengthen and grow road racing across the state.
The refreshed five-round championship calendar will bring together South Australia’s premier road racing venues, providing competitors with a dynamic and professionally delivered series that caters to all levels of competition.
2026 Championship Calendar and Classes
- Round 1 – Mac Park – 3–5 April
- Round 2 – The Bend Motorsport Park International Circuit – 4 July
- Round 3 – The Bend Motorsport Park International Circuit – 30 August
- Round 4 – Mac Park – 2–4 October
- Round 5 – The Bend Motorsport Park International Circuit & GT Circuit – 21–22 November
The 2026 season will feature championship classes across all five rounds including:
- Superbike
- Supersport
- Limited
- Production 300
- Juniors
A range of support classes from the BEARS to sidecars will also be offered throughout the championship, ensuring strong participation opportunities and development pathways for emerging riders.
The new championship structure has been designed to revitalise the South Australian Road Race State Championship by enhancing consistency across rounds, improving competitor experience, and creating a clear, sustainable framework for future growth. By combining the strengths of both regional and metropolitan venues, the 2026 calendar delivers variety, accessibility, and high-quality racing conditions.

The new branding and five-round format provide clarity and momentum for competitors while building a strong foundation for the future of the championship. We are confident the 2026 South Australian Road Race State Championship will reinvigorate the category and provide an exciting, competitive, and sustainable platform for all involved.”
This collaborative initiative reflects a shared commitment between Motorcycling South Australia, Mount Gambier Motorcycle Club and Shell V-Power Motorsport Park to elevate road racing within South Australia and provide a strong, united platform for competitors, officials, volunteers, and supporters.
“Mac Park has been synonymous with road racing in South Australia since 1962 and we are pleased that our long running Easter Cup and Master of Mac Park will continue to be rounds of the SA State Championship series,” stated Alex Trnovsky, Mount Gambier Motorcycle Club. “The reimagined State Championship is designed to provide a sustainable road race series which will support the current crop of participants as well as grow the sport in SA. This can only be achieved with riders, clubs, venues and state controlling bodies continuing to work together, and we are excited to play our part in making this series a success.”
