Motorcycling South Australia Sports Managers are responsible for the grading of riders in their chosen discipline of competition, so that the riders are competing in classes or competitions that are relevant to their skill level.
Beginning in the sport, junior and senior competition licence holders will usually start in the amateur class to ensure they are able to adapt to the competition. Junior riders who turn senior will usually commence in the amateur class of competition.
Process for Getting a Race Licence and Race Number:
- A rider first gets their competition riding licence. (How to guide – HERE).
- Grading request is then made through a request sent to administration@motorcyclingsa.org.au for the rider’s ability to be assessed and “Graded’ by the discipline Sports Manager (Grading Request how to guide).
- Once the Rider is endorsed by the Sports Manager for a grade the rider then can apply for a licence number. Number selection can be made by contacting the Motorcycling SA Offices at (08) 83329000 or administration@motorcyclingsa.org.au.
Note: when selecting a number, Ridernet will inform if the number selected is available or not.
Need to be graded or re-graded?
Riders whom wish to be considered to be graded/re-graded must submit documentation outlining the reasoning of the grading request and any supporting documentation that supports the grading to administration@motorcyclingsa.org.au. This will be reviewed and determined by the Sports Manager of the specific discipline.
