2024 MSA Night of Champions: Celebrating The Clubs, Volunteers and Off Track Identities In Our Sport

February 3, 2025 Filed Under: News

It was a night to remember on Saturday, February 1st, as the Festival Function Centre hosted the 2024 Motorcycling SA Night of Champions. The evening was filled with unforgettable moments, celebrating the dedication and achievements that define the sport. A staple in the Motorcycling SA calendar, this prestigious event shines a spotlight on the individuals whose contributions and accomplishments shape South Australia’s motorcycling community.

2024 Frank Franklin Trophy:

One of the key highlights of the night was Ian Haylock, who was proudly awarded the 2024 Frank Franklin Trophy in recognition of his outstanding dedication to the sport. A tireless volunteer, key sponsor, and passionate supporter of both the SAORC and SAMX Championships, Ian consistently goes above and beyond. Over the years, he has contributed to multiple clubs and played a crucial role in countless events across South Australia.

In 2024 alone, Ian has officiated at 10 South Australian Championship-level events across SAMX, SAORC, and SART, showcasing his unwavering commitment and “can-do” attitude.

Beyond his contributions off the track, Ian still finds time to ride whenever he can. He’s also the mechanic, pit crew, and go-to guy for his daughter Emma—one of SA’s top off-road riders.

Congratulations, Ian—your dedication is truly inspiring!
