2019 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN RELIABILITY TRIALS CHAMPIONSHIP KICKS OFF THIS SATURDAY AT TARLEE.

2019 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN RELIABILITY TRIALS CHAMPIONSHIP KICKS OFF THIS SATURDAY AT TARLEE.

This Saturday (tomorrow) sees the 2019 SART Championship kick off with the first of 7 rounds, the Galwer MCC’s Phillip Haydon Reliability Trial, which will start with about 140 entries, solo and sidecar, at the oval of the small mid-north town of Tarlee at midday!

Run in honour of 2 time 24 Hour Trial winner, the late Phillip Haydon, this traditional season opener once again looks to be a dry affair, with little rain falling in the area, and what has fallen in the past 2 days not enough to quell the dust!

However, if you are heading out to watch, perhaps put in a rain jacket, as it wouldn’t be the first time that the first decent and heavy rains of the season have started to fall not long after bike #1 starts their 6 hour journey in this event!

Spectators won’t have far to go to watch some great action, with a competitive section right next to the main control, with some of SA’s junior talent on show between laps on this part of the course to keep all entertained.

So, with free entry for spectators, a fully catered event at Main Control, bring along a deck chair and sit down to watch some great 2, AND 3, wheeled action during the afternoon and into the evening of this day/night event.

Here’s all the low down of the day;

Event Schedule

Sign On and Scrutineering: 9:30am – 12:00pm

Riders Briefing: 11:00am

First Bike Start: 12.01pm

Property Respect

The Gawler MCC ask that all competitors and support crew (family, friends, whoever) respect their landowners and all signage regarding where you can and cannot go. If anyone is spotted in a location that is prohibited for spectators, both those support crews and the rider they are with may be asked to pack up and leave the event immediately.

The property owners are the only reason Clubs are able to run these events, and the Gawler MCC would like to thank you in advance for respecting the private property they have been granted use of by not returning after the event.

Live Timing

Live timing will be available during the event on the series website (www.sartchampionship.com) and at Main Control on the allocated TV screen.

The Tarlee Bakery will be providing coffee whilst sign on and documentation is occurring.

ENDURO ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW SPORTS MANAGER!

November 30, 2018 Filed Under: Enduro, News, Reliability, SAORC, State Championship

After taking over the reins from Gerry Jongebloed as Enduro Sports Manager, and overseeing continued growth in the discipline, as well as the AORC now regularly visiting South Australia, Owen Rothe has now decided to call time on his overseeing of the discipline of Enduro here in SA.

Owen has led a tight team that has always strives to improve, not only the riding abilities of SA’s riders, but also the professionalism of how the sport and its events are run each year.

Now his successor as Sports Manager will be able to inherit a team and a sport that has a bright future indeed!

As we thank Owen for all of his efforts over the past 6 years, MSA also wishes him well in his future endeavors and hope to see him around the tracks in 2019 and beyond.

Expressions of Interest in the position of Sports Manager for the discipline of Enduro are now open – and will close on December 21st @ 5.00pm. Contact MSA office for details.
